How to Report Suspicious Messages

If you believe you have received an unauthorized, suspicious, or potentially fraudulent message from an @brandshieldmail.com address, we encourage you to submit a detailed report so our team can investigate.

Step 1: Collect the Required Information

To process your report efficiently, please include the following details:

The full email headers of the message in question (not just the visible "From" address)
The sender address as displayed in the message
The date and time the message was received
The subject line of the message
A copy of the message body or a description of its content
Any attachments or links contained in the message (describe, do not click)

Step 2: Submit Your Report

Send your report to abuse@brandshieldmail.com. Use a clear subject line such as "Abuse Report — [brief description]" to ensure prompt routing.

Step 3: Await Confirmation

Our abuse handling team will acknowledge receipt of your report and provide a reference number for tracking purposes.

Expected response timeframe: All abuse reports are reviewed and acknowledged within 24–72 hours of receipt. Complex investigations may require additional time, and you will be notified of any significant updates where appropriate and permissible.

What Happens After You Report

Upon receiving an abuse report, the following process is initiated:

The report is logged and assigned a unique reference identifier
Message authentication records are reviewed against the domain's SPF, DKIM, and DMARC policies
Sending logs are examined to determine whether the message originated from authorized infrastructure
If unauthorized activity is confirmed, immediate remediation steps are taken
The reporter is notified of the outcome to the extent permitted by applicable policies
